Enjoy the flowers in the photos since we won't be around to send any.
Love,

You guys are amazing!! I want to give praise to your moms. Since I have just become a new mom myself I realize even more how much I want for my daughter. Your moms and entire families have done an incredible job to raise strong individuals who are simply good people. It doesn't get any better than that!! Love ya:) Val
Hey...I am Jon one of the four campers (the older of the four..lol) you ran into at Montebello and gave you all some of the food we didn't eat during our weekend at the campground. It was really nice to meet both of you and I will be following your blog regularly. As I said, my name is Jon, the others were Matt, Ray, and Mike. Best to you both.
Hi Ben & Amanda, Thanks for the flowers, my favorite ones are wild flowers. A friend who is a partime photo junkie said to pass on this tip, "do not face the sun when taking photos". Hopefully sage advice. What beautiful vistas you two are seeing, once again I envy you. Keep on trucking, everyday you're a day closer to Maine and huge hugs await you. Tons of love Mom and Dad ( Ben I am so proud to be your Mom!!!)
Hi guys, It's monday afternoon and your latest disc arrived safely. Can't wait till you two do the same. I've heard through the grapevine that you've had some tough times going forward. I know you can push ahead. Maybe a more relaxed pace is in order. I just want you to know that everyone back home is pulling for you and couldn't possibly be more proud of all you've done. You two make an amazing team. Lean on one another. Some days you're pulled, some days you do the pulling. Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug. Let every day be a new beginning. Laugh and have lots of fun. Enjoy this most perfect time in your lives and remember how fortunate you are to be there. For some folks, it's a life long dream to hike the AT, you guys made it real. Keep making those memories. Come on home tell me all your stories. I can barely wait. Besides, I need my old dance partner back. I love you. dad
post script..............Those flowers are great. Also wanted to let you know that we heard from Graham last night. He and Sue completed the "big one" aka El Capitan last week. Five days and four nights on the wall. One night they slept on a two and a half foot wide ledge(head to head). Thirty five hundred vertical feet total starting out with 30#s of food and 60#s of water. They're gonna rest for a couple of days. No shit eh? bye again, dad
Hi Ben and Amanda, I laughed out loud at the card and was touched by the words it contained. Thank you very much. Good that we both have the "valentines day romp" as we can hear one anothers laughter. It comes in mighty handy sometimes. I guess it's Ben's turn next. I hope you get to celebrate in a beautiful setting and goodies abound. I hope this note finds you well and pushing steadily toward home. I sure do miss you both. I've been following the weather down your way and it seems to have been fair, though none too warm but maybe that's a good thing as you carry those heavy loads up and over the hills. All is well back this way and the lilacs are in full bloom. Have fun and be safe. Love dad XOXOXOXO
