The chaos of setting up camp. This shelter recently had a tree fall on it but I assure you it was still safe to sleep inside.
As we walked through this pasture I just couldn't pass up a little donkey love.
We made it to our next resupply point Thursday afternoon and due to the rain and feeling a big fatigued we decided to take our "zero" early. A kind couple from Mass. gave us a ride to a town Thursday and we've been relaxing today and doing some errands and plan to get back on the trail in Catawba tomorrow. Thanks to all of you for the continued comments, we really enjoy reading them and it's so great to know that all of you are supporting us in our journey. Despite those days when we simply just don't feel like walking anymore or are tired of the heat, rain or cold that you just can't get away from, the throbbing feet and all this trip has already enriched my life and my soul in ways I don't know I can describe. For that I am thankful.
Love to you all!

dear amanda and ben, have enjoyed readng your comments. I think of you often and follow the towns..in the app trail map and other ones. are the flowering trees out yet? love ,grammy.
hello ben and amanda,
it was great talking with you last weekend and to hear you're doing well. is there any food left in these towns after a group of hungry thru hikers grazes from one end to the other (especially after the "chefs" have been there)? maybe you should have your navel pierced so ben will have something to hook to pull you from the buffet line. I guess it's one thing to trudge the miles day after day and quite another when it's raining cats and dogs. my hat is off to you both for your exceptional strength and determination. I hope for every blista there's a wonderful vista. the weather has been fantastic back home and it's truly looking spring like. I've even mowed the lawn twice and done plenty of cycling, both leg and engine propeled. moose spends his nights out hunting and his days sleeping on your bed. we sure do miss you two and wish you safe travels. I love you honey. xoxoxo

Hey Ben and Amanda, (PATRICK)
took a day off in Daleville hoping to see you, but no luck. I will be in Waynesboro on the 10th and taking another zero. I'm going to be checking your blog as often as I can and I'll see you guys soon. I'll Send you my number and email and we'll figure it out. Miss you guys. Spent past 3 nights all by myself.
My De-aah, After seeing the Catawba photo I would like to suggest that you immediately speak to the concierge about your accomodations. I'm sure he does not know he has a celebrity in his facility. No mints on your pillow, I'll wager! What, no pillow either? Sorry for the teasing, but the photos just brought home to me just how much stamina and determination you guys really have. Also, it sounds like there is miracle around every bend. We miss you and speak of you daily. I try to keep DANW updated through your posts and I'll bet Fle does the same at DAN. Stay safe. I look forward to seeing you again. DAN-MOM
You guys are doing great. Keep it up so that you can catch up with the Iron Chefs. I'm keeping track of your progress and wishing you the best. Miller's MOM
