Hi. Just a message saying how much I enjoyed meeting you last week during my one week foray onto the AT with the Iron Chefs. You guys are great. Please try to keep the Iron Chefs fed and in line. Amanda I hope your back gets better. If your parents are reading-- these guys are wonderful and you did a good job!!

Thanks Plus One!
Both Ben and I enjoyed meeting and visiting with you! It was great to see you out there having a good time and we enjoyed the conversations and laughter. You've got to have thru-hiking this trail in your near future plus, you've already got a trail name.
We are both so glad to have met the iron chef crew and hope to have more good times on the trail with them.
Benanda !!
You look like "twinkie filling" in that sleeping bag ! Sounds like a great trip so far --cept for the cold weather and recent back trouble . You are smaat to rest a bit and recover...
Enjoyed reading your adventure and its got me thinking - maybe if i dresed up in dirty clothes and a big pack I could scout out some of them trail magic benefactors for some viddles.... Good choice going for those waffles Ben....Hope your back is getting better Mandakins.
Peace and Love is where its AT !

Mander...I'm hoping your back is feeling better!! I was so pleased to see you hitched a ride in an open trailer. That is soooo much safer than riding in your broken down Saab on the back of a tow truck:) Trail magic sounds awesome....it makes us remember the goodness in people. Keep the pics coming. We are all thinking of you guys and send you lots of love!!
Love ya,
Val
I'm so glad that I got to meet y'all in Hot Springs. I know how much the Iron Chefs enjoy your company. I hope you stay together all the way to Maine. Sorry about your back problems. I hope it is has improved with some rest and that you are pushing on the VA. What you are doing is just amazing. I look forward to reading more about your adventures.
I can't keep up with guys! The pictures are great and I'm glad to see that you both are enjoying yourselves. I've passed this site on to a friend of mine who is leaving to hike the AT in two weeks. (His name is Ben, too!) You guys make it look easy. Anyhow, don't forget to try and contact Dave when you're in Virginia. He has a hot tub!
Take care,
Molly
Hi, Your friend Jamie was here today and he actually changed the oil in his car all by himself!!! He stayed for a while, nice to see him, he misses you guys. Amanda he is staying with your good nutritional advice and looks good. Hope your back is getting stronger by the day. Let me know if you got my card for Easter or not. Keep on keeping on, we both miss you. Love, Mom $ Dad
This wild spring weather patern we are in has me constantly watching the weather channel, trying to determine your conditions down there. I hope you're making the best of the situation and that your back discomfort has at least improved a bit. Conditions can only improve. When times get tough just become "twinkie filling" for a while. We hope you're having a grand time, having the best of views and finding the largest trees.
We love you.
